A natural, more youthful appearance can be achieved using the wrinkle-reducing treatment (such as Botox) that we provide at Castelnau Dentists. Treatment is carried out by the following highly experienced clinicians; Dr Alex Jabour, Dr Antonio Francisco and Christie Lawton RDH.
A very small amount of the relaxant is softly injected into several locations on the face. Impulses are blocked from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that contribute to wrinkles. The muscles therefore cannot contract and tend to relax. Although the results can be dramatic, it will not radically change your facial appearance. The muscles are simply relaxed, so you can still frown, smile, or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases in your brows.
Anti-wrinkle injections can also work to prevent deep lines from forming. For this reason, some as young as in their twenties may begin these injections, in order to prevent wrinkles later on- this is often referred to as ‘baby botox’. Injections for wrinkle reduction are most commonly used for the treatment of frown lines, forehead lines, ‘crow’s feet’ or laughter lines.

This is a simple non surgical procedure that, depending on the number of areas you wish to treat, only takes 10-15 minutes and so allows you to return home immediately afterwards.
Individuals vary however, for most people the results last from 4 to 6 months.
No sedation or local anaesthetic is required for the treatment. Most people experience only a mild temporary discomfort.
Treatments have been safely and successfully used for more than 12 years on over 1 million people worldwide. Any side effects are temporary and localised to the area injected.
Immediately after the injection there may be mild swelling and redness around the treated area, however this swelling subsides within a few hours.

Wrinkle-relaxing treatment requires minimal recovery and downtime. The procedure itself is a quick one, and you may even be able to return to work immediately afterwards. You should avoid working out for at least a few hours after the injections. But after 24 hours, you should be able to resume all your normal activities.
It takes several days for results to be fully recognised. Free top-ups are offered 2 weeks post-treatment, should they be necessary. However, please note that this will be to my discretion on an individual basis. Please get in touch if you think you may need a top-up.

When performing anti-wrinkle injections, as long as the utmost care is taken during placement, ensuring the correct amount of botulinum toxin is administered to each site, only the muscles we want to affect are targeted. When administered correctly, your anti-wrinkle injections may leave people noticing your lovely smooth appearance, but I endeavour to make sure all results are completely natural and as discreet as possible, whilst still achieving the desired result.
On average, wrinkle relaxing lasts for 3-4 months, but results can last up to 6 months This depends on the dose administered, the individual’s metabolism and the strength of the muscle injected. After this time, you may decide to come for maintenance appointments twice per year, or more.
