Castelnau Dentists Cancellation and Attendance Policy
To ensure the smooth running of our practice, and to respect the time of both our patients and team, we have the following Cancellation and Attendance Policy in place:
- 24 Hour Notice: Patients are required to give at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Cancellations can be made via email, phone, or our out-of-hours answer machine service.
- Late Cancellations: Any cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation.
- Missed Appointments: Failure to attend an appointment without prior notice will be marked as "Did Not Attend" (DNA).
- Deposit/ Pre-payment Loss: Any deposits for treatment, including pre-payments for Hygienist visits, will be forfeited in the event of a late cancellation or missed appointment.
- High Demand for NHS Appointments: NHS appointments are in high demand. Failing to cancel in advance not only wastes the dentist's time but also prevents other patients from accessing these appointments.
- Warnings and Removal from Practice: If a patient fails to attend an appointment without a proper cancellation, they will receive a warning. A second missed appointment may result in being removed from the practice's patient list.
This policy is in place to help manage appointments effectively and to ensure all patients have access to timely care. We appreciate your cooperation.
